Changing hosting doesn’t mean rebuilding your site

If you already have a working website, it can be moved to the new hosting while preserving its existing structure and data. The Level3 team handles the technical side of the migration and verifies the new environment in advance.

Step by step From the data transfer to the final DNS switch, the process is carried out in a controlled sequence.
Migration process

How we carry out the migration

Each stage is defined in advance so that the move to the new server is as organized and predictable as possible.

An audit of your existing hosting and technical environment.

Before migration

What should we prepare before the migration?

Simple process

The technical part is on us.

Before the migration starts, all that’s needed is information about your existing environment and the necessary access. Our team will handle the rest of the technical work.

01
Your existing hosting details Panel, FTP/SFTP or other relevant access.
02
Domain management The ability to change DNS records at the final stage.
03
Email information If email is being migrated too, a list of the existing accounts is needed.
04
Special configurations Information about cron jobs, APIs, external services or other specific environment requirements.
05
Agreeing on a migration time Choosing a convenient time for the final DNS switch.
Final checks

Before and after the switch

Safe migration

Before the data is transferred, the existing environment is checked and, if needed, a backup copy is created. The new server is verified before the final DNS change.

SEO and technical stability

During migration, special attention is paid to preserving the URL structure, HTTPS, redirects, DNS and the site’s functionality, so that the hosting change does not cause technical problems.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the site go offline during the migration?

The migration is planned in stages. The new environment is tested in advance, and the final DNS switch happens once the site is ready. Any specific disruption depends on your existing infrastructure and DNS configuration.

Can a WordPress site be moved?

Yes. WordPress files, the database, plugins, themes and the uploads directory can be migrated.

Will the database be migrated as well?

Yes. If needed, the MySQL/MariaDB database is transferred and the corresponding database user and permissions are configured.

Can email be migrated too?

It’s possible within the relevant service scope. When planning the migration, the email accounts and required DNS records are defined in advance.

Will it affect SEO rankings?

Changing hosting does not in itself mean changing URLs. During migration the URL structure, SSL, redirects and DNS are checked, so that the risk of problems caused by technical changes is reduced.

When should I cancel my old hosting?

We recommend keeping the old hosting until the new server has been fully checked, DNS has been switched and the new environment is confirmed to work.
